Bahraini Education Minister meets Polytechnic Chief
Bahrain’s Education Minister, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, met Bahrain Polytechnic’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ciaran O. Cathain. They discussed technical and vocational education in the context of the education and training development strategy directed by the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training. This is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.
As part of the ministry’s efforts to further develop secondary schools, the experts reviewed topics relating to technical education, including the inclusion of technical and professional subjects in the curriculum. The Bahrain Polytechnic was established by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa by royal decree in 2008 and is governed by a Board of Trustees, which is chaired by Mr. Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak and consists of renowned business and community leaders.
